Tour Description
This proposal brings together two classic excursions from Salta and the essential transfers to and from the city, offering a comfortable way to explore some of the most iconic landscapes in northern Argentina.
The experience starts with a transfer from Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airport or the Salta Bus Terminal to your hotel, allowing you to begin your stay smoothly and without concerns about arrival arrangements.
During your stay, you will enjoy two full-day excursions through the diverse scenery of the Calchaquí Valleys, one of the most remarkable regions in Salta.
The excursion to Cafayate takes you across the Lerma Valley and into the Las Conchas River Gorge. Here, centuries of wind and water erosion have shaped some of Salta`s most renowned natural attractions. Along the way, you will admire landmarks including Devil`s Throat, the Amphitheater, the Castles, and the Toad.
The route then continues to Cafayate, famous for its high-altitude wines, particularly Torrontés. During your visit, you will tour a local winery, discover more about the area`s winemaking tradition, and enjoy a wine tasting.
The second excursion takes you to Cachi through some of Salta province`s most impressive mountain landscapes. The journey begins in the Lerma Valley and travels through the Escoipe Gorge before climbing the spectacular Bishop`s Slope.
The highest point of the route is Piedra del Molino, located at 3,457 meters above sea level. From there, the journey continues toward Los Cardones National Park and the renowned Tin-Tin Straight, an ancient route associated with the Inca Trail.
The final destination is Cachi, where you can explore the historic center, visit its traditional colonial church, and discover its archaeological heritage. You will also enjoy views of the Nevado de Cachi and the beautiful landscapes surrounding the town.
At the end of your stay, a transfer from your hotel to the Airport or the Salta Terminal will be provided, completing an itinerary that combines nature, culture, gastronomy, and the great classics of the Calchaquí Valleys.
