Descripción del Tour
The tour kicks off with a hotel transfer in Salta at 07:00 hrs.
Guided by knowledgeable local experts, we journey towards the stunning Quebrada de Humahuaca. Our first stop is the charming town of Purmamarca, where you'll marvel at the Cerro de los Siete Colores, visit the historic Church, and explore the vibrant Artisan Market at the town square. We then proceed past Posta de Hornillos, making our way to Tilcara to explore the ancient Pucará and the fascinating Archaeological Museum.
Our journey continues to Huacalera, where we cross the Tropic of Capricorn, offering a spectacular view of the colorful Pollera de la Colla Hill. Next, we visit the Church of Uquía, home to the renowned paintings of the Angels Arcabuceros, significant examples of Cuzco-style art. We then arrive at Humahuaca, where you'll find the impressive Cathedral and the iconic Monument to Independence (El Indio) by the sculptor Soto Avendaño.
Our adventure proceeds through the quaint town of Iturbe and across Abra del Cóndor (3,900 meters above sea level), leading us to a small gorge where the pre-Hispanic village of Iruya is nestled. We spend the night here (accommodation not included), and the following day, we embark on our return journey to Salta, with a stop to explore the city of San Salvador de Jujuy.
We conclude the tour by returning to our hotels in Salta in the afternoon.
