Our journey begins by tracing the historic route of the Train of the Clouds, as we traverse the Quebrada del Toro. In this region, you'll witness a striking transition from lush greenery to the emergence of the first cacti. Along the way, we'll observe the remarkable engineering feats of the Train of the Clouds, including the Viaduct of the Bull and the zig-zag paths of Alisal and Chorrillo, while also passing by notable sites such as El Candado, El Golgotta, and Alfarcito, among others.
Our next stop is the ancient pre-Inca city of Santa Rosa de Tastil, renowned for its well-preserved ruins that showcase dwellings, burial sites, and streets. The journey continues through Finca La Encrucijada, as we ascend Cuesta del Muñano to reach Abra Blanca at an altitude of 4080 meters above sea level. We then arrive in San Antonio de los Cobres, the principal city in the Andes department, where we'll visit the iconic Viaduct of the Polvorilla, standing at an impressive 63 meters in height.
