DAY 1
Depart from hotels in Salta at 7 am
Our journey begins with a scenic drive through the Lerma Valley, heading towards the charming village of Carril. We continue our adventure through Chicoana, entering the picturesque Quebrada de los Laureles, followed by the Quebrada de Escoipe, until we reach Maray, a quaint mountain village. From here, we ascend the Cuesta del Obispo, navigating its winding roads, which offer breathtaking views of the Enchanted Valley and the quaint homes surrounded by corn and fruit fields. Upon reaching Cachi, we are greeted with stunning views of the Nevado de Cachi and Payogasta Hills. In Cachi, we explore the town by visiting the Archaeology Museum and the historic Church.
We then proceed along Route 40, where we are treated to mountainous landscapes and charming villages, all while skirting the Calchaquí River. Our path takes us through Quebrada de las Flechas, San Carlos, and Animaná, culminating in our arrival at Cafayate, where we stay overnight (accommodation not included).
DAY 2
Today, we explore Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaquí Valleys, renowned globally for its wine production, especially the Torrontés variety. Visitors have the opportunity to taste these exceptional wines at both artisanal and industrial wineries. After enjoying lunch (not included), we journey back to the city of Salta via the scenic routes of Quebrada de las Conchas and the Lerma Valley.
We return to Salta around 6 pm
